After many obstacles, the live foal camera is finally up! Nemo is defintely getting close to the big day! Her udder is full of milk and she is starting to show signs that labor is getting closer. Alyssa gave her a much needed bath and wrapped her tail (in hot pink, of course). The straw is down, foaling kit prepared and oxytocin is on hand just in case. Alyssa picked out an adorable pink halter and lead at the Midwest Horse Fair.....now all we need is for the little filly to arrive! We've decided on the name Kinzley and I think she is going to be one spoiled foal. I've been keeping in touch with Dr. Andy Schmidt and his tech Becky from Wisconsin Equine-I think they're almost as excited as we are. Everyone is anxiously awaiting the delivery of this special little foal. They have been so helpful and accommodating to me patiently addressing all of my concerns and questions. My parents have done an awesome job preparing the stall, setting up the camera and working out all of the last minute details.
